one. Not finding a job or hearing back about one before Labor Day (or Labour Day, depending what country you are in).
two. The 36 minute phone call with Sprint (that did end up saving me $46).
three. Being upset that a communication snafu meant a missed connection with a friend.four. Picking blackberries for two hours and still coming up a bit short for jam (my purple fingers are pictured at right).
five. Rain, rain, go away, come back some other gray day.
On the other hand, there are a few things I will hope for and look forward to in the next week, or month of September:
one. Fresh hopes to find a job in the month of September; my sixth month of searching. May I be so bold as to hope it is in this short work week?
two. To see my sister, Sara, this week. I also look forward to seeing a friend from 15 years ago, Maria.
three. To my long, leisurely coffee stop on Tuesdays and Fridays.
four. To possibly use some of my frequent flyer miles during the month to knock off another continent.
five. To find spontaneous and unexpected joys in life; and to give some of those joys to other people around me and far away.
