this is still my father's world

It's a very rainy day in Western Washington.

I was turned down for another job I had hopes of interviewing for.

A school near Port-au-Prince in Haiti collapsed during classes. The suburb of Petionville is where the orphanage I volunteered at this summer is located.

The unemployment rate in the United States is the worst since 1994.

But...

I had a great week with Sara (the Space Needle photo is from her living room).

My Honda Civic, now 6.5 year old (yikes!) still gets better than 34 miles per gallon!

I received an amazingly uplifting, well-timed, e-mail from a friend today.

I am going bazaar-hopping tomorrow with a group of girls; go figure.

There's always a great cup of coffee out there somewhere!

God is good.

Our 6-year old Saturn gets 35-42 miles/gallon still. Don't you LOVE IT?!
