Shortly after Christmas, I realized I had a friend from Antarctica within a half hour drive. It turned out that his place was right on the way to the California Coast. So, on my way out of Visalia, I drove through Lemoore, California and stopped in to see Dan and his girlfriend, Karen.I know Dan from Antarctica and he was a better friend with my sister. It was fun to catch up with him for the better part of an hour and talk about where we've been and where we hope to go. Dan is currently on his parent's farm until he can figure out the next best adventure job to head off for. I left him with a few of the oranges from my 22 pound box, too.
